Dinner Date at "Le Igloo"

Image
Jenn set up a surprise date, on a restaurant at the Pike Place Market. One of the charms of the Market is that it grew in a chaotic fashion: new rooms and places were added to it without much planning (or any). In such a hidden corner of the Market there is the Maximilien, a French restaurant that decided to make good use of the patio that they had available: they put together "Le Igloos". They set up a globe covered in transparent plastic that has heating inside of it and offers great views of the bay. We had dinner there yesterday and the globe is set in such a way to make it a really cozy and private experience. You feel absolutely comfortable as you enjoy a beautiful sunset and afterwards the night lights. The fact that the food was great was icing on the cake. It turned out to be a really cool experience, so much so that the igloos need to be reserved months in advance: it's already sold out for the next months. So, if you're thinking of a great idea for a date,

My First Terrarium

As part of a morale event at the company I'm working for, I built my first terrarium today. I received in the mail the materials needed: a glass bowl, some dirt, moss and an actual, live plant, a succulent. In a Zoom meeting with a terrarium maker (it was a virtual morale event) she taught us how to put it together and I made what you can see in this picture. An interesting detail: the bright green stuff is actually live moss. Included in the materials there were some little decorations: a crystal and a tiny koala statue, which you can see in the front. Because this is a plant that actually prefers little water, I should only water it once a month. Not bad for a first attempt!

Creating my own blog!

Many of you who are my friends on Facebook have seen my posts there, about all the fun stuff that I like to do and all the things that I've discovered and tried. That worked really well when Facebook was popular, but these days are going away: a lot of people no longer go to Facebook or even got out of it for good. As such, I hear quite often when I tell somebody that I posted some nice pictures of a place I've been that "Yeah, I need to check it on Facebook" or "I need to ask a friend to show me them on Facebook". In fact, some of my friends have already suggested me, "dude, you need to start your own blog!" Well, I decided to finally listen to that and start doing that now. After all, I'm claiming to be the guy who tries do stuff that I haven't done before, and I haven't kept a blog before, therefore I should follow my own preachings and start one. 🙂 So, from now on I'm going to post all my stories and discoveries here. I'm s
