Watching a Talk from Bob Woodward

Yesterday Jenn and I watched a talk given by the historical journalist Bob Woodward, which is part of a series of talks he's giving around the 50 years of the Watergate scandal. He's a world famous journalist and, together with Carl Bernstein, revealed the Watergate scandal in the Washington Post, which would eventually lead to President Nixon's resignation from office. Since then, he has kept busy reporting and writing books about politics, including some books about former President Trump.

It was interesting to see such a historical figure up close. He's actually a funny guy, and cracked some jokes during his talk. It was also cool listen to him reminiscence about some of the political figures he saw in his career, plus his opinions about current politics. He remains very sharp and clearly liked talking about his experiences as well as answering some questions from the public. In addition, it was my first time at the historical Pantages Theater in Tacoma, which looks gorgeous, so not a bad way to spend a Sunday night. 😊
